Jumbo Interactive Entering Mexican Lottery Market Solo

Mike Veverka, the chief executive of Australian listed company Jumbo Interactive, says that the company will be moving into the Mexican market on its own with its lottery venture after a deal with Sorteo Games fell through.

Jumbo partnered with Sorteo in 2012 to pursue the Mexican online lottery market with expectations to go live in mid-2013 but various delays caused the company to cut ties with Sorteo in March.

Ververka said, ‘Mexico still represents an enormous opportunity for Jumbo despite the initial setbacks. Significant progress has been made in launching our Mexican lottery website to a population of 118 million people.’
