Annexio welcomes former PokerStars general counsel, Paul Telford, as its own. Annexio, owner of World Lottery Club, is aggressively expanding its operations, and the addition of Paul Telford to its general counsel is a much needed foundation to emulate the success of market leaders such as Zeal Network (Germany) and Lottoland.
Telford, who brings with him more than 17 years of experience through his service to both PokerStars and PartyGaming, is being welcomed with open arms. ‘We are delighted to welcome Paul at an exciting time for Annexio. His background and experience will help guide us through our current period of development as we bring our products to an ever increasing international customer base’ commented Jennifer Houghton, Managing Director for Annexio.
On joining Annexio, Telford excitedly stated, ‘It is the product that has the most growth potential. Online casino, poker and sports betting have all had their massive growth surges, betting on the outcome of lotteries is a relatively untapped market with huge promise.’
Beginning his career with the law firm Allen & Overy, Telford worked as an advisor to both operators and financial institutions that were looking to emerge into the evolving branch of online gaming.
After working briefly at PartyGaming, Telford was brought on by PokerStars to work as general counsel on their board until the business was sold. Now, Annexio is giving Telford a new home and a clean slate to which he can work to aid in the development of the business.
